Please remember to move vehicle(s) off the street until the Town crew has completed its snow plowing. Vehicles parked on the streets will be towed. Shoveling or blowing snow into the street is prohibited. Residents are responsible for removing snow and ice from their sidewalks within 24 (twenty-four) hours after precipitation has stopped. Stay Safe this Winter!

The Town of Walkersville is amending the Code of Ethics (Chapter 26), Parks Committee (Chapter 43) and Planning Commission (Chapter 51) of the Town Code.

♦ HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES INVITATION TO BID
The Town of Walkersville is currently accepting bids for the janitorial services at Town Hall and the ground floor at the Heritage Farm Park manor House. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday February 11th at 2PM at Town Hall. Bids are due Thursday February 27, 2020

♦ PARKS COMMITTEE
The Town of Walkersville is accepting letters of interest for service on the Parks Committee. The committee recommends policies and procedures, purchases and upgrades, and uses and activities for the Town parks. The Parks Committee is an advisory committee to the Burgess and Commissioners and members serve 2 year terms. Anyone who would like to be considered to serve on the committee should submit a letter of interest to Town Hall staff by Monday, 2/17/2020 at 4:30 p.m. Letters will be accepted at Town of Walkersville, 21 West Frederick Street, P.O. Box 249, Walkersville, MD 21793.

♦ ETHICS COMMISSION ALTERNATE MEMBER
The Town of Walkersville is seeking applicants to serve as an Alternate member on the Ethics Commission. The commission administers the Code of Ethics, Chapter 26 of the Town Code. They review Financial Disclosure Forms, conflicts of interest, and insure that the Town is in compliance with State of Maryland ethics requirements. The Ethics Commission is an advisory board to the Burgess and Commissioners and includes 3 members and 1 alternate member. The alternate steps in when any one of the 3 members has a conflict. Anyone who would like to be considered to serve on the commission should submit a letter of interest and pertinent qualifications to Town Hall staff by 3/20/2020 at 4:30 p.m. Letters will be accepted at Town Hall, 21 West Frederick Street, PO Box 249, Walkersville, MD 21793.
